The memorial Museum of the people’s writer of Uzbekistan, playwright, satirist, publicist and translator Abdullah Kahhor(1907-1968) is located in the house where he lived in the last years of his life.

The exposition of the museum consists of memorial and literary parts. The Memorial part is made up of the writer’s hotel and creativity. In the literary part, a desktop is preserved, which has a working State in the life of a writer and is equipped with various items belonging to the writer.

The Abdullah Kahhor library holds many manuscripts, books, magazines, works of Russian and World Classics, scientific publications, encyclopedias and literary references.

Abdullah Kahhor knew the Russian language perfectly, and A.Pushkin, L.Tolstoy, A.Chekhov, N.Gogol, M.Translated the works of Gorky and other writers into Uzbek.

His journalistic and critical articles were printed on the pages of” Literary Newspaper“,” culture of Uzbekistan “in the magazine” Star of the East ” and other publications.
